When it comes to service, we are incredibly easy people to please and normally tip in the 20-30% range, even for mediocre service. Tonight we experienced some of the worst service any of us has ever had. Our waitress, Molly, would stop by our table frequently (which was at first appreciated), she would ask us whether we needed anything, and she would usually quickly walk away before some of us had a chance to respond. This on its own wouldn't have created much of a problem, and certainly wouldn't have prompted us to write, but when we paid (mainly with credit cards), she came back and told us that we were $5.14 short. This baffled us, because we figured she could have easily split this difference between the credit cards. When one of us went to speak with her (there was no manager on duty, which doesn't speak well for the establishment), she explained that it is very difficult to tabulate multiple credit card bills because there is no computer system on which to do so. When I told her that this wouldn't have been a problem if she had explained this to us beforehand, and that we would have gladly paid in cash if we had known it was an inconvenience, she did not seem to understand. We all left feeling terrible because 1) she made us feel bad for not catering to her needs as a server, when, quite frankly, it should be the other way around and 2) she got a tip that none of us would have given her otherwise (gratuity was included). Again, we are easy people to please and not at all unreasonable when it comes to restaurant service. In fact we had a great experience with Meghan as our server just last weekend and we were very excited about coming back. But the service tonight was completely unacceptable, and Molly needs to have it explained to her that she should politely notify customers BEFORE THEY PAY of the inconvenience that credit cards create for the server. Telling us there was "an ATM down the street" while she was walking away without explaining the problem to us came off as very rude, and prevented us from ever getting on the same page. For what it's worth, this would have been easier to swallow had she smiled at us or been friendly to us at all during the three hours we were there. She came off as unhappy to be there and unwilling to help us, and as a former server, I know that that feeling should never be conveyed to the customers. And finally, on our way out, she had the gall to yell a sarcastic "Thanks a lot guys!" in our direction upon seeing that we had left no tip on top of the included gratuity, and upon seeing that one of us had taken the time to write a polite message to her on the bill, with no obscenities or vulgar/hurtful language. This was the icing on the cake, so to speak, and has made us think seriously about whether to come back, despite how good the food is and despite how enjoyable our other experience was with Meghan. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you all take our complaints seriously, as we believe them to be both reasonable and completely warranted.

A small Mill Ave bar, better than most. They don't have as big a selection as the Rio taphouse around the corner but the beer is of better quality.

We've been here twice around Arizona State football games. I liked it a lot, my wife not as much. Sierra Nevada on tap is hard to beat, it would make any food good. There were enough TV's to catch the World Series and a football game. Crowd was fun. It's not easy to find, but worth the search. Some of the other places on Mill have gone too upscale dollar-wise and don't have the service or quality to match! This is a college town!
